All foreigners who are not permanent residents in South Africa are required to pay a referral fee of R 120, apart from the additional surcharge of R 40/- and visa fee. R 120/- is however not charged from foreigners with permanent residence. An example of payment of visa fee applicable for foreigners with or without permanent residence in South Africa is as follows:

Foreigner without Permanent Residence: Visa fee + R 120/- + R 40/-.
